Austin activists want the city council to reconsider new development in East Austin. We're talking about the Borden Dairy site, near Cesar Chavez Street, U-S 183, and the Colorado river. Protesters met at the site today. They say they're not against developing the site all together, but they do worry there is not enough thought with this project in terms of affordable housing or the proximity to the Colorado River.
