AUSTIN (KXAN) — On Wednesday night, Austin-Travis County EMS reported to crash at W. William Cannon Drive and Woodhue Drive in south Austin where a pedestrian was critically injured.

In a briefing late Wednesday night, an Austin Police Department officer said that the pedestrian was wearing dark-colored clothing, which possibly led to the driver of the vehicle not seeing him. Police say the pedestrian was attempting to cross the road mid-block — not at a crosswalk — when he was hit.
