AUSTIN (KXAN) — Austin Police say a man is dead after a shooting in northwest Austin late Wednesday night — its the first reported homicide in Austin this year.
Police went to Elkhorn Mountain Trail in Jollyville just before 10 p.m. after callers heard up to 14 gunshots.
When they arrived, they found a man lying in the road. They called paramedics but the man died at the scene.
Police have no suspects in custody.
