Studio 512

The fast-food chain Whataburger celebrated its 71st anniversary on August 8, 2021.

Food insecurity remains an ongoing challenge for millions of Americans, but now you can help beat hunger by taking part in a special campaign to help the nonprofit Feeding America and their network of local food banks from Arizona to Florida.

Whataburger Executive Dash Blaker spoke with Studio 512 Co-Host Rosie Newberry about the milestone and the company’s first-ever fundraiser to mark the day: “Orange Spirit Week.”

Blaker discussed the campaign, why food insecurity is an important issue to take on, what “Orange Spirit Week” is and how it helps Feeding America. He also shared how local communities can benefit, what else is taking place during the week, and what “feeding students success” is all about.
