April is national brunch month when we celebrate the flavors of spring with a favorite meal that combines the best of lunch, dinner, and fun beverages.

Marisel Salazar, a food writer, recipe developer and super chef, joined Studio 512 Host Rosie Newberry to tell us more.

Salazar has written for the Michelin Guide, Zagat, and Wine Enthusiast. Her debut cookbook “Latin-ish” is due out next year.

She discussed why brunch is so popular, a good way to start a brunch menu, a lighter beverage that compliments a wide range of dishes, a go-to menu choice and must-haves for the perfect brunch, and more.
