Owner Miguel Vidal wants customers to feel treated special. They have a saying in Spanish, “Hecho con Amor” translating to, “made with love.” At Valentina’s it’s all about the meat and it starts with the way you prep and how long you cook it. Some of the favorites we talked about are the sliced brisket, pulled pollo taco – it’s a smoked chicken (cooked four and a half hours) and the top seller— the chopped brisket taco. The mesquite smoked brisket cooks 15 to 18 hours. They only use mesquite wood and use a simple dry rub of salt and pepper. Most entrees are topped with Valentina’s tomato serrano salsa and sea salt and lime guacamole made in house. And the fresh hand-made flour tortillas help hold it all in place for the perfect bit! Miguel’s mission is to put love into every meal and his passion and love for family and friends is attracting travelers from all over.
