The National Museum of the Pacific War is rich in history, and has some new and exciting stuff coming up as well. Brandon Vinyard of the Admiral Nimitz Foundation stopped by with the latest plans to take the experience to the next level. After noticing a discrepancy in the museum ticket sales versus the Combat Zone, plans were put in place to allow more versatility in the Combat Zone experience. After the revitalization, visitors will be able to visit the Combat Zone at their own pace without waiting for preset tours. Plans also include greater seating capacity, updated restrooms, a new way to view the museum’s PT boat and an updated exhibit space for the TBM plane. The National Museum of the Pacific War is at 340 East Main Street in Fredericksburg. For more information you can go to pacificwarmuseum.org.That’s also where you can find out how to make a donation toward the project.
