Year of the Receiver: Thomas Jones talks HSFB

More Than the Score

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The high school football season starts in seven days with the unofficial kick off on KBVO– The Taco Shack Bowl between Anderson and McCallum.

This season, Central Texas is flooded with high school football prospects with most of the players coming from the wide receiver position. Lake Travis’ Garrett Wilson, Bowie’s Elijah Higgins and Cedar Ridge’s are some of the best players in the state of Texas.

Lake Travis and Westlake are expected to be dominant in 6A. While Hutto and Cedar Park should contend in the 5A ranks.

The Austin American Statesman’s Thomas Jones stopped by More than the Score for the perfect high school football season primer.
