As Texas baseball gets set to host its first NCAA Regional since 2011, junior pitcher Andy McGuire joined Andrew Schnitker on More than the Score.
McGuire started his career at Texas in 2014, but after his sophomore season, he left the program and was out of baseball all together for two years.
Since rejoining the team this year, though, he’s been one of Texas’ most reliable arms out of the bullpen. He’s third on the team with a 2.12 ERA in 29.2 innings pitched.
In their conversation, McGuire recalls the path that led him back to the Longhorns, including a stint as a Texas Cowboy firing Smokey the Cannon at UT baseball games.
