Spring Training: Rangers ready for season of curveballs

More Than the Score

SURRISE, AZ (KXAN) — The Texas Rangers are in transition.

With any transition, the Rangers expect to see some rocky roads ahead, but believe they have the pieces to start going in the right direction.

The Rangers have new voices at all leadership roles. Chris Woodward replaces Jeff Banister as the manager. Shortstop Elvis Andrus replaces Adrian Beltre as the dominant leader in the clubhouse.

The most interesting offseason moves may have been in the starting rotation. Three of the Rangers’ five starters in the rotation are coming off significant injuries and rehab following Tommy John surgery.

Tobin McDuff joined Roger Wallace on More than the Score from Spring Training to go over all the changes coming to the Texas Rangers.
