IndyCar makes its first stop at Circuit of the Americas

More Than the Score

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The IndyCar Classic debuts at Circuit of the Americas this week— the second race on the IndyCar schedule.

American Josef Newgarden won the season opening race in St. Petersburg, Florida for the early lead in the driver standings with a full six months of racing to go. 

The Circuit of the Americas track charges into IndyCar after its successful run in Formula 1 racing. Jonathan Green from Speed City Broadcasting joined Roger Wallace on More than the Score.

Green, an expert in American motorsports and the voice of COTA, breaks down the differences between the types of racing and how it may look at COTA.

The IndyCar Classic starts Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
