AUSTIN (KXAN) — The wait is over for Austin soccer fans: it’s here. Austin FC unveiled its inaugural team jersey for its first season in Major League Soccer.
Fans were able to purchase it first as part of the team’s “Verde Van” promotional vehicle making tops around the city. It also went on sale Wednesday on MLSStore.com.
Replica jerseys cost $90 for men, $80 for women and $70 for kids. More expensive, authentic jerseys with customizable names and numbers can take the price up to $165.
As of Thursday morning, all time slots were full to purchase a jersey from the Verde Van, the club’s mobile retail truck, which started a tour around the city Wednesday giving fans the opportunity to buy the jersey.
Austin FC is set to begin Major League Soccer play in the spring of 2021.
