AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Longhorns lost at home Saturday to Oklahoma State 32-24 for its third loss of the season.
OSU’s defense swallowed up the Longhorns’ offense in the second half, allowing 14 yards on Texas’ final six drives of the game. Texas will go into the bye frustrated at 4-3.
This is a massive recruiting weekend for Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns with top 2023 prospect Arch Manning in attendance among multiple other top prospects for 2022.

That’ll wrap it up for Oklahoma State. The Longhorns are 1:47 away from heading into their bye week 4-3 overall.
GAME-WINNER?: Oklahoma State scores quickly for a 32-24 lead. It was pretty clear Sarkisian let OSU to get the ball back with time.

Similar to last week in Dallas, the Longhorns offense can’t move the ball in the second half. Texas goes three-and-out for the fourth straight time. UT only has two yards of offense since scoring on its opening drive of the second half.
TOUCHDOWN: This game’s going to go down to the wire. Oklahoma State scores with 10:16 to go in the fourth quarter.
Spencer Sanders completes the touchdown pass to Brennan Presley from 7 yards out. Jaylan Ford comes up with the stop on the two-point conversion attempt to keep Texas ahead.

SHOOK UP: Casey Thompson took a hard hit from Malcolm Rodriguez that forced him out of action for a play at the end of the third quarter.
Hudson Card came in and handed the ball off to Robinson. Thompson returned for the final play of the third quarter, which was an incomplete pass.
FIRST TIME: Oklahoma State just scored points in the third quarter for the first time this season. The Pokes drive started on Texas’ side of the field and was extended by a roughing the passer penalty on third down.
The Texas defense deserves credit for preventing OSU from getting in the end zone. Tanner Brown connects on a 21-yard field.
SCORE: Texas leads 24-16
BIG ANSWER: The Longhorns needed a spark after a bad end to the first half. Look no further than Bijan Robinson.
Robinson scores his third touchdown of the game on a 38-yard run. That’s 120 rushing yards for Robinson.
Freshman wide receiver Xavier Worthy made his first impact on the game with a 19-yard reception.

OVERSHOWN OUT: Texas defensive leader DeMarvion Overshown collided with a teammate at the end of the first quarter and hasn’t played since.
Overshown’s absence would be a significant blow to a Texas defense that has struggled to stop the run.
Oklahoma State is able to add more points at the end of the first half with a Tanner Brown 39-yard field goal.
Texas leads at the half 17-13.
10-POINT SWING: In one moment, Oklahoma State is back in the game. Jason Taylor read Thompson’s eyes perfectly and intercepted the pass at the Cowboys’ 20-yard line. Taylor went 80 yards untouched for the touchdown.
The play counts for at least a 10-point swing on the scoreboard.

INTERCEPTION: D’Shawn Jamison notches his first interception of the season, picking off the Spencer Sanders pass. It looked like miscommunication between Sanders and the receiver.
Texas is in business at the Oklahoma State 40-yard line.
BIJAN PT. 2: The Longhorns sophomore running back is back in the end zone for the second time Saturday. Thompson took a hit but connected with Robinson out in the flat for a 13-yard touchdown.
Robinson started the drive with a 26-yard run. He has nine carries for 60 yards.

Oklahoma State was about to punt from its own 35 after a Spencer Sanders incompletion on third down, but UT’s Keondre Coburn was called for a horsecollar tackle, extending the drive.
After getting new life, Oklahoma State gashed the Longhorns defense for three straight explosive plays.
