DALLAS, Texas (KXAN) — The Texas Longhorns are leaving Dallas with another loss in the Red River Showdown — this one is going to sting for Texas.
Oklahoma rallied from a 38-20 deficit at halftime, scoring 35 points in the second half for a 55-48 win over the Longhorns. Kennedy Brooks scored the game-winning touchdown, running 33 yards for the score with 10 seconds left on the clock.
OU appeared to be fine with settling for a final-second field goal to win by three, but the Longhorns’ defense was gassed and couldn’t get a hand on Brooks.
Casey Thompson threw five passing touchdowns while Xavier Worthy caught nine passes for 261 yards and two touchdowns. Bijan Robinson rushed for 137 yards.

GAME OVER: Kennedy Brooks ran 33 yards — essentially untouched for the game-winning touchdown with three seconds left in the game.
RALLY WORTHY: Xavier Worthy notches the game-tying touchdown on a 31-yard pass from Thompson with 1:30 left in the game.
What a game…
Casey Thompson throws his fifth passing touchdown of the game. That matches the Red River Showdown record for passing touchdowns in a game.
SCORE: Tied at 48
FAIL ON FOURTH: The disaster of a second half for Texas doesn’t get better.
The Longhorns go right back to Worth after his fumble on the kickoff for back-to-back receptions. The second catch went for 48 yards to the 23-yard line.
From there, Texas went backward one yard. Thompson threw incomplete with heavy pressure in his face on fourth down.
DISASTER: Xavier Worthy fumbles the kickoff away to OU.
One play later — Kennedy Brooks for 18 yards and Oklahoma’s first lead of the game.
SCORE: OU leads 48-41
TIE GAME: Caleb Williams should be Oklahoma’s quarterback. On 3rd-and-14, Williams heaves the ball toward the end zone and Marvin Mims leaps for the 52-yard touchdown. Check out the amazing catch below.
Rattler comes in and converts on the two-point conversion. The Longhorns defense is on the ropes.
SCORE: Tied at 41
OFFENSE ISSUES: The Longhorns offense is getting washed away by the OU defensive line in the second half. Three of Texas’ four second half drives have gone backwards. Aside from the drive that ended in a Cameron Dicker field goal, Texas’ series have netted a minus-16 yards.
GETTING CLOSE: OU again drives quickly down the field on offense after stopping the Longhorns offense on a three-play series.
Williams made the big play, chucking it deep to Marvin Mims for a 47-yard gain. It was one-on-one coverage for B.J. Foster, but the safety slipped and allowed the completion.
Texas was able to hold OU out of the end zone, forcing Brkic’s fourth field goal of the game. Longhorns leading by 8 with 11:38 to go.
SCORE: Texas leads 41-33
SOONERS RALLY: Kennedy Brooks rumbled for a 65-yard run that nearly turned into another Texas defense turnover. Jamison appeared to strip the ball away from Brooks at the 14-yard line, but, after further review, Brooks was down before the ball came loose.
Caleb Williams caps off the drive with a 14-yard touchdown pass. That’s Williams’ first college passing touchdown. Likely the first of many.
SCORE: Texas leads 41-30
TRADING PUNCHES: OU hit a field goal to cut the deficit to 15. Texas responds with an eight play, 53-yard drive that ends with a Cameron Dicker 41-yard field goal.
Robinson broke loose for a 33-yard run for the big play of the series. Robinson has 133 rushing yards.
SCORE: Texas leads 41-23
MORE CALEB: OU appears to be riding with freshman Caleb Williams for the remainder of the game. The Sooners QB led the offense on the first two drives of the second half. The Sooners are much more methodical with Williams back there.
OU has to settle on a field goal by Gabe Brkic with just under seven minutes left in the third quarter.
SCORE: Texas leads 38-23
MORE LOVE: Former USC running back Reggie Bush had a special shoutout for Bijan Robinson after his 102-yard first half performance.
“I see you Bijan! That run made me stand up out of my seat and that #5 look good on you!” — Bush tweeted Saturday.
KEY MOMENT: The Longhorns faced a tenuous drive at the end of the first half. Sarkisian choosing to tread carefully, knowing that OU gets the ball first to start the second half.
Xavier Worthy is a star on the biggest stage. Worthy laid out for a 39-yard catch on 2nd-and-21. Texas was able to move the ball down to the 19-yard line.
Cameron Dicker hits a 36-yard field goal as time expired.

SOONERS SWITCH: Lincoln Riley taps freshman quarterback Caleb Williams to replace Spencer Rattler at quarterback. Rattler has an interception and a fumble in the second quarter.
Williams is dynamic, leading OU to a field goal. Sooners cut the deficit to 15.
SCORE: Texas leads 35-20
HEISMAN MOMENT: Bijan Robinson just put his name firmly in the Heisman Trophy conversation.
An amazing, winding, powerful 50-yard run puts the Longhorns in scoring position.
Thompson caps off the drive with his fourth touchdown pass of the game. A 2-yard throw to tight end Jared Wiley.

EHLINGER CHIMES IN: Former Longhorns quarterback Sam Ehlinger has an endorsement for Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian. It’s clear Longhorns nation is pleased with Sarkisian’s playcalling.
THOMPSON INJURY?: Texas Longhorns quarterback Casey Thompson may have injured his thumb while following through on a throw in the second quarter.
Thompson was seen holding his thumb on his throwing hand while walking on the Texas sideline after the series early in the second quarter. Backup quarterback Hudson Card was warming up on the sideline.
Thompson came back out for the next offensive series, which ended in a punt.
FOURTH DOWN FAIL: OU decides to go for it on fourth-and-1 from its own 34-yard line and brings in backup QB Caleb Williams for the short-yardage play.
Williams doesn’t just go for the first down. He wants it all. Williams runs 66 yards for the OU touchdown and the Sooners are right back in it.
SCORE: Texas leads 28-14
GOING DEEP: Casey Thompson and the Longhorns offense FINALLY connects on a deep ball. The Longhorns are clicking on all cylinders.
Thompson lays it out to a wide open Joshua Moore for a 48-yard touchdown. Texas has 214 yards in the first quarter.
Moore has 67 yards and two touchdowns.
SCORE: Texas leads 28-7
ALL GAS: Three plays and another Longhorns touchdown. Casey Thompson hit Worthy for 27 yards. Robinson ran for 14 yards and Joshua Moore capped off the drive with a 10-yard touchdown reception.

INTERCEPTION: B.J. Foster snags his second interception of the season on a mistake by Rattler and Austin Stogner.
It appears Stogner ran the wrong route and Foster was right there for the easy interception. Texas back in striking distance near the 50-yard line.
OU ANSWER: Spencer Rattler and the Sooners offense responds with a 75-yard touchdown drive.
The drive was extended on a 26-yard pass play on third down. It appeared Michael Woods stepped out of bounds during his route before the catch. The play was reviewed and ruled a complete pass.
Rattler ran it in from two yards for the touchdown.
SCORE: Texas leads 14-7
BIJAN: In three total plays, Texas grabs a 14-0 lead with Bijan Robinson’s 2-yard touchdown run.
SCORE: Texas leads 14-0
BLOCK: After a three-and-out for the Sooners, DeMarvion Overshown blocks the Oklahoma punt and Texas recovers at the 2-yard line.
It will be first and goal for the Longhorns.
