NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — A woman died early Monday morning in New Braunfels after she crashed into a traffic light pole, police say.

A 28-year-old woman was driving a 2006 Ford F150 southbound on Farm to Market Road 725 near South Bank Boulevard. At 2:19 a.m., the traffic light changed to red, and the truck tried to stop but wasn’t able to. The driver’s side door rammed into the metal pole of the light.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
