LAKE TRAVIS (KXAN) — The best wide receiver in the state and (possibly) the country finally had the chance to make good on his commitment to Ohio State.
Lake Travis receiver Garrett Wilson signed with the Buckeyes after committing in May staying solid to the school even when the program looked to be on unstable ground.
When coach Urban Meyer retired from Ohio State, Ryan Day was pegged as the replacement which was just fine with Wilson. The relationship Wilson struck with the coaching staff was biggest reason Wilson stuck with the Buckeyes.
“This is a huge day in my life, like coach said its one of the most important days of my life, one of the best days in my life. I’ll look back on this for years, this really is a blessing in this scenario where I’m signing with a school like Ohio State and it’s an exciting day,” Wilson said.
