Westlake hands Lake Travis first loss of the season

AUSTIN (KXAN) — As both of their football teams get ready for State semifinal football games, Westlake and Lake Travis played a down tot the wire basketball game on Tuesday. Westlake came back for a 57-54 win, handing the Cavaliers their first loss of the season.  

Westlake improved to 13-2 on the season and 2-0 in district 25-6A while Lake Travis falls to 16-1 and 2-1 in district play.

Lake Travis is playing without 6-7 senior D.J. Thorpe (Cal signee) who is sidelined with an ankle injury. 

The rematch comes on January 22nd at Westlake high school.
