AUSTIN (KXAN) — A 6-inch water main break forced Austin Water crews to shut down a section of Burnet Road overnight. The pipe broke Wednesday evening, between Houston Street and Lawnmont Avenue, just north of North Loop Boulevard.
Water crews worked quickly to make repairs, closing the road while they patched the hole. The problem was fixed by 5 a.m. Thursday. Road blocks were removed, and the road reopened to traffic by 6 a.m., just in time for the start of rush hour.
