AUSTIN (KXAN) — Tuesday’s heavy rain has the four-day rain total over one foot in Lakeway, and 10 inches in Bastrop! This is more rain than Lakeway normally sees in 4 months.

Another 1-3 inches of rain is possible today through Thursday. Meteorologist David Yeomans says it will take very little rainfall to trigger dangerous flash flooding today.

  1. Barton Creek under flash flood warning due to dangerous water flow: The water levels are expected to remain at eight and nine feet all day. Firefighters will be out by the creek to make sure no one takes a dip while it is closed.
  2. Del Valle bus driver honored for rescuing families during flooding: Clydell Willis revisited the family and bus from the day many say he became a hero. Willis and his son went from house to house helping families escape the rising waters, and board his bus to higher ground.
  3. Hyde Park Apartment residents dealing with soggy mess after flooding: People living in the apartments say water came in at around 3 p.m. and was about an inch deep inside their apartment.
  4. Reward offering in Lockhart woman’s homicide: The death of a young woman whose body was found in a field just a few miles northwest of Lockhart last Thursday is now being investigated as a homicide. Nineteen-year-old Emilia Juarez’ body was found near FM 2720.
