FULSHEAR, Texas (KXAN/NBC) — An intoxicated woman who was taking a nap on a busy road in Fort Bend County narrowly missed getting hit by a car.
Police in Fulshear, which is southwest of Houston, say when they found Jeannette Murillow around 1:40 a.m. on June 2, she was sound asleep. Dash camera video shows a car swerving to avoid Murillow on Farm to Market 1093. Half of her body was in the shoulder, the other half in the lane.
The Fulshear police officer pulled over to help her and was able to pull her away from the main lane. Police suspect Murillow was drunk and made her way to the road after running her car into a ditch about 200 yards away from where she was found.
Murillow was arrested and charged with public intoxication.
