OKFUSKEE COUNTY, Okla. (KXAN) — Police believe the two bodies found in Oklahoma are two missing people from Temple, Texas.

On Tuesday, Temple police said they received information Jan. 9 on the disappearance of Jenna Scott, 28, and Michael Swearingin, 32, who haven’t been seen since Jan. 4. That information led them to Clearview, Oklahoma, which is in between Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Scott and Swearingin’s car was found in Austin Jan. 5.

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation confirmed earlier in Tuesday that Temple Police Department investigators are helping with the homicide investigation.

“The Oklahoma State Medical Examiners Office will be responsible for making the positive identifications at autopsy,” Temple police said in a release. “The Scott and Swearingin families have been notified of this preliminary identification.”

KXAN spoke to Scott’s father, who said Temple police had been in contact with him Tuesday, but who didn’t think he could share anything about the case at this moment.
