Ted Cruz and Beto O’Rourke to hold 3 debates; KXAN will air the first

AUSTIN (KXAN) — Sen. Ted Cruz and Congressman Beto O’Rourke have agreed to hold three debates in the lead up to the 2018 November midterm elections. 

The three debates will occur in Dallas on Sept. 21, Houston on Sept. 30 and San Antonio on Oct. 16. Each will be 60 minutes in length.

Debate one will have the candidates standing at podiums with an audience of 240 people, and will have a focus on domestic policy. You can watch the first debate on KXAN at 6 p.m.

Debate two will be town hall style with an audience of 250+ people, and will also focus on domestic policy.

Debate three will again see the candidates behind podiums with an audience of 120 people, and the focus will be split between domestic and foreign policy.

The times have not been released for the second and third debates.
