Possible explosive device all clear at New Braunfels Goodwill store

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas (KXAN) — Authorities have given the all clear after a potentially explosive device was found at a Goodwill store, according to New Braunfels police.

New Braunfels PD responded to the 1000 block of South Walnut Avenue. According to investigators, the initial indications show that the device is not an actual explosive. However, officers are using caution.

The San Antonio Police Department’s Bomb Squad was called in to assess the device. They have given the all clear. The device in question was an inert military training device that was left at the store’s drop-off area

The perimeter around the store is being lifted and things have returned to normal.
