A man drowned during a group tubing trip on the Comal River in New Braunfels Sunday.

The man, identified as 36-year-old James Flores, was separated from the group of people in the river behind 90 Comal Circle around 6:23 p.m. Tubers said they last saw him next to his tube, but then went underwater and didn’t resurface.
