4:00 p.m.:

The Lower Colorado River Authority is set to partially open one floodgate at the Tom Miller Dam at 4 p.m. on Wednesday. the floodgate will remain open for several days to alleviate pressure and move floodwaters downstream.

3:45 p.m.:

3:30 p.m.:

There are closures due to flooding on State Highway 29 west of State Highway 95 in Williamson County. Ranch to Market 150 south of Driftwood in Hays County is also closed, as well as RM 1174 south of Bertram and RM 243 west of US 183 in Burnet County.

11:10 a.m.:

An Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory is in effect until 3 p.m. for Williamson, Travis, Hays and eastern Burnet counties.

10:45 a.m.: 

The low water crossing at McShepherd Road in Georgetown was closed because of water flowing over the road, according to a tweet from the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office. 

The Texas Department of Transportation announced that they postponed the planned closure of the southbound to northbound U-turn of Interstate 35 at US highway 290. The closure was initially scheduled for Thursday morning and last a few months. 

In Kyle, the low water crossing at Lehman Road and the 200 block of Roland Lane were closed. Officials are monitoring the crossing at Burleson Street as it may need to be closed, they tweeted. 

An urban and small stream flood advisory is in effect in the City of Buda until 3 p.m. 

10:00 a.m.: 

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood watch until 9 p.m. Wednesday for many parts of Central Texas, including Austin and surrounding areas as rain and cold weather can make for dangerous driving conditions. “Expect rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches within the Watch area,” officials wrote in a tweet Wednesday. 

There have been a few reports of ice accumulation in Mason County and on Highway 16 near Fredricksburg. There is a possibility of icy conditions in Hill Country through the rest of the day. 

Austin Parks and Recreation announced the closure of all GolfATX golf courses at noon due to the rainy forecast and water-logged grounds. Officials hope to reopen the golf courses Thursday at 9 a.m.  

Road and Low Water Crossing Closures: 

— The right lane of State Highway 130 northbound is closed as water has started accumulating on the road, according to a tweet by the Texas Department of Transportation.

— In Cedar Park, police warn that low water crossings at Peach Tree Lane, Sumac Lane and Cypress Lane are closed as water accumulates. 

— Crews are working to clear up standing water on the main lanes of Interstate 35 and frontage roads in south Austin, according to a tweet by My35 William Cannon.
