K-9 Kolt finds $2.3M worth of meth in truck’s hidden seat compartments

FAYETTE COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Fayette County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Kolt sniffed out a stash of methamphetamine hidden in compartments built into a truck’s seats on Thursday.

At 9:21 p.m. Sgt. Randy Thumann pulled over a Chevrolet Silverado on Interstate 10 near Flatonia on a traffic violation, according to the sheriff’s office. The driver gave permission to search the truck, and K-9 Kolt sniffed out illegal narcotics.

About 23 kilos of methamphetamines, worth $2.3 million, were in compartments in the seats, FCSO said.

Eugenio Arnoldo Faz Velazco, 45, from Mexico faces felony possession of a controlled substance charges.
