A Houston high school student has a big decision ahead of him: which of the 20 universities he got into should he choose?
Back in December, 17-year-old Micheal Brown’s mother filmed him checking on his Stanford University application status. When he sees the word “accepted,” he starts screaming excitedly, and his friends join in the celebrations.
Since then, he was not only accepted to some of the top universities in the United States, but he received full-ride scholarship offers to all of them. He also had $260,000 in additional scholarship offers. So far, Brown says his top picks are Harvard, Princeton, Northwestern, Yale, University of Pennsylvania, Stanford, Georgetown and Vanderbilt.
For years, Brown has participated in his school’s debate team, mock trial and student government. So it’s no wonder he’s interested in majoring in political science. He may also add a second major in economics.
