Houston man killed after trying to stop repossession of his SUV

HOUSTON, Texas (KPRC/NBC News) — A Houston, Texas man is dead after attempting to stop a tow truck driver from repossessing his SUV.

Investigators say 68-year-old Alberto Nduli jumped onto the tow truck as the driver was leaving. The driver continued down the street, and Nduli fell, striking his head.

The tow truck driver left the scene but returned later when police called him back.

He is expected to face charges for failing to stop and render aid.

“There is a potential for more charges from criminal negligence to manslaughter to murder, something like that if we believe and determine that this was a reckless or negligent act or intentional,” said Harris County Prosecutor Sean Teare.
