Dallas women creat group to provide childcare to mother’s going through chemotherapy

DALLAS, Texas (KXAN) — A group of women in Dallas has created an organization called “Mommies In Need” that provides free in-home childcare to moms going through chemotherapy.

A cancer diagnosis can impact almost every part of a patient’s life. For most mothers who receive the tragic news their first thoughts are about how their children will cope.

The organization has already provided over 15,000 hours of free childcare to parents dealing with a health crisis.

“I kinda can’t wait to be done with treatments and past cancer and to say I’m a cancer survivor and say I’m involved with Mommies In Need, because it’s truly changed our life,” said one mother Lauren Madeley.

The organization says they also give a helping hand to fathers in need as well.
