Corpus Christi police search for baby girl, suspect in her abduction

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (KXAN) — Corpus Christi Police say they found an 18-year-old woman and her 1-year-old daughter safe Thursday morning, and the suspect in connection with their abduction is in custody.

Jezabel and Zaylee Zamora are safe. Kristian Garcia is in Police custody. We will update with more information as it is made available.

Police say Kristian Ariel Garcia, 24, broke into the home of his ex-girlfriend, Jezabel Zamora, on Tuesday night and took both her and Zamora’s daughter Zaylee against their will.

Police issued an Amber Alert and a CLEAR Alert in relation to the incident.

In addition to the kidnapping, Garcia is wanted on murder and aggravated robbery warrants. Those charges carry a potential bail of more than $1 million.
