8 hurt after under-construction hotel partially collapses in Houston


HOUSTON, Texas (KXAN) — Eight workers were taken to the hospital after the roof of an under-construction hotel collapsed, according to the Houston Fire Department.

HFD told NBC affiliate KPRC that it rescued a total of 15 construction workers. The extent of their injuries are not known.

The hotel is in the 3400 block of North Main Street, which is north of downtown Houston.
