AUSTIN (KXAN) — We’re getting a closer look at how much repairing cars damaged in severe storms across Texas last weekend could cost. You may remember the video of a storm chaser getting caught in a hailstorm with softball size hail – which came crashing through the windshield.
The Insurance Council of Texas says storms this past weekend caused at least $65 million in damage to cars alone. Storms over the past two weeks have led Texans to file 60,000 auto insurance claims.
Damage estimates for homes and businesses are still being calculated.
