AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Longhorns have a need at offensive line and, so far in the 2020 recruiting cycle, they’re addressing it.
Port Neches-Groves lineman Jaylen Garth becomes the fifth Texas pledge for the upcoming class and third offensive lineman in the class.
Garth announced his commitment on Twitter Sunday just a day after St. Louis athlete Mookie Cooper made a verbal pledge to the Horns.
Garth is following close friend and quarterback Roschon Johnson from Port Neches-Groves to the Longhorns. Johnson is the only quarterback in the 2019 class
The offensive tackle joins San Antonio O’Connor’s Logan Parr and Prosper’s Jake Majors as offensive linemen committed to Texas.
