Texas-LSU selected for Saturday night slot


A crowded DKR Stadium seasons past pre-COVID-19 pandemic.

AUSTIN (KXAN/AP) — Texas and LSU received the primetime slot for its week two match up at Darrell K. Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. The Longhorns and Tiger will kick off just after 6:30 p.m. CT on Sept. 7.

ESPN announced the first three weeks of primetime college football games.

Auburn against Oregon on Aug. 31 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will be the first ABC Saturday Night Football game this season.

Defending national champion Clemson at Syracuse on Sept. 14 will fill that spot in Week 3.

The start time for Saturday Night Football has been moved up 30 minutes this season to 7:30 p.m. ET.
