AUSTIN (KXAN)– It promises to be another wild Friday at the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play when 16 players will advance to the knockout round. Brandt Snedeker knocked off Tiger Woods on Thursday. Now Snedeker needs to win his match over Aaron Wise on Friday and have Woods beat Patrick Cantlay. “I’m Tiger Woods biggest fan now.“ Snedeker and Cantlay are tied for the lead in their group with 1.5 points while Woods has 1 point and Aaron Wise is 0-2. Woods and Cantlay will tee off at 10;15 on Friday morning followed by Snedeker and Wise at 10:26.
Jordan Spieth won his match over Kevin Na and is tied with Billy Horschel with 1 1/2 points in their group. Spieth plays Bubba Watson who is 0-2 and Horschel will play Na. Watson becomes the third consecutive defending champ to fail to make it out of group play.
