CISCO, Texas (KRBC) — A Cisco couple, Brandon and Brandi Fought, has adopted three special needs children since 2010 and they are waiting for their fourth to come home from the hospital.
“This has been a real hard season for us to kind of go through some difficult times and not know whether or not your baby is going to be ok,” said Brandi Fought, the mom.
A new oven was on the top of their daughter, Autumn’s list to Santa.
“So thoughtful she thinks about wanting a stove so that she can cook with mom and dad and wanting her sister to be better so she can be home,” said Brandi.
Thanks to their nurse, Tracy Starr’s post to Facebook about the family’s need, a secret Cisco Santa completed the mission.
“He doesn’t want no hoop-la over him. He did it because he has a wonderful heart,” said Starr.
The new stove helping them feed their soon to be fourth adopted special needs child.
“It was our version of a Christmas miracle this year. That somebody be so thoughtful and care about what she asked for so much that they would go out of their way to do that. we baked brownies, we did, we baked brownies,” said Brandi.
Now being able to spend memorable moments in the kitchen together.
“I really enjoy spending that kind of time with her. That one on one, something special that she is learning something but we are also spending time together,” said Brandi.
They said if everything goes well their baby, river, should come home Friday from the hospital, just in time for Christmas.
