Second Benchmark Bank robbed in two days


AUSTIN (KXAN) — Police have released surveillance photos of a man who robbed a Benchmark Bank in Austin Wednesday.

The bank was robbed at 1508 W 35 St. around 1 p.m., according to Austin police. The suspect is described by police as a black man between 5 feet 9 inches and 6 feet. He is approximately 30 to 40-years-old and was seen wearing a white shirt with horizontal stripes, jeans, and sunglasses.

The suspect left the bank in a black two door vehicle with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect from Tuesday’s bank robbery was described as a white man wearing a shoulder length wig who demanded money from the teller.
