San Marcos police looking for man accused of sexually assaulting woman at gunpoint

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — Police in San Marcos are looking for a man who they say sexually assaulted a woman at gunpoint while inside her home.

According to the victim, the assault happened on the 1400 block of Craddock Avenue around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday.

The victim is a Texas State University student and told police the suspect was waiting for her in her bedroom. She said after the assault she first contacted her boyfriend and the two went to the police together.

According to police, there was no sign of forced entry because the victim left her door unlocked. The San Marcos Police Chief said that there is a problematic trend of Texas State Students who leave their front doors unlocked.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s with an athletic build, approximately six feet tall and was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, black pants, black gloves, black socks, black slide sandals, and a mask covering the lower half of his face.
