‘Suspicious package’ in Round Rock was backpack full of tools, authorities say

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — Round Rock police called in the Austin Police Department’s bomb squad to help handle a “suspicious package,” at the Wood Glen Hike and Bike Trail on Tuesday.

Authorities said the item was an unattended backpack with a “suspicious” note attached to it. The bag contained tools and wasn’t going to harm anyone, police say.

The call came in at 9:45 a.m., police say.
