ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — The Round Rock Fire Department worked in tandem with several other area departments on Thursday evening to contain a fire located between 1431 and Westinghouse off I-35 in Round Rock.
According to the City of Round Rock, it began as a vehicle fire and spread. As a result, police shut down the north-to-south turnaround at Westinghouse, the southbound exit ramp at Westinghouse, and the exit ramp at 1431.

Around 6:45 p.m., the City of Round Rock reported that the fire was contained and crews were working to put out hot spots. The city says that they ended up getting assistance from Georgetown Fire Department, Sam Bass Fire Department, Hutto Fire Rescue, Cedar Park Fire Department and Weir Volunteer Fire Department.
The fire was about 20 acres, the city says.
There are no reported injuries.
