Police search for shooting suspect between Round Rock, Hutto

ROUND ROCK, Texas (KXAN) — The Department of Public Safety says a manhunt was underway in the Siena subdivision between Round Rock and Hutto for a shooting suspect.

The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office says the Monday evening shooting appears to be domestic in nature. Authorities do not believe the public is in danger.

The neighborhood is located on County Road 110, just north of U.S. 79.

The 48-year-old man who was shot is currently in surgery. The shooter is described by police as a 19-year-old white male.

At around 8 p.m., a deputy said the scene was no longer active. Tuesday, police said the suspect was taken into custody.
