SAN ANTONIO (AP) – San Antonio police arrested a man accused of drugging a 14-year-old girl and having her tattooed with the words “XANANTONIO” and “Greedy.”
Records show 29-year-old Jonathan Moehle was being held Saturday on $300,000 bond on charges of trafficking a person less than 18 years of age, serious bodily injury to a child and aggravated robbery.
Investigators say the girl met Moehle on Facebook in September and arranged to meet him at a local mall. Police allege Moehle and friends stole money from the girl’s friend and left him on the side of the road after threatening him with a knife and crowbar.
Police say they then purchased heroin, methamphetamine and crack and began shooting up the drugs. The girl told authorities that the Mohele held her arm down while another man forcibly injected her, leaving “many needle marks,” according to the police report.
She awoke to find several tattoos on her, including the two words and a diamond on her wrist, as well as a flower and tribal work on her forearm. The girl told authorities that she was afraid of the men and that their tattoos tied them to a local gang. She also accused the men of sexually assaulting her and, at one point, screamed that she wanted to go home.
About 48 hours after the meeting she was dropped off in a neighborhood and police were called.
Bexar County District Attorney Nico LaHood said the alleged assault “shocks the conscience.” LaHood said he expects more people to be charged in the case.
No information was immediately available Saturday for an attorney to speak for Moehle.
