AUSTIN (KXAN) — Over the summer, Chick-fil-A introduced a new Smokehouse Barbeque sauce, but instead of being embraced by the chicken nugget eating public, the company experienced downright outrage from its customers.

The company said they thought customers would enjoy the “bold new flavor” but apparently everyone wanted their traditional barbeque sauce back. The company said some passionate customers even started petitions to get their original sauce back.

The backlash was heard loud and clear. Chick-Fil-A says they are bringing back the traditional barbeque sauce in mid-November. Bye, bye Smokehouse Barbeque.

The joy was immedate on social media:

To announce the good news, the company posted a funny video Tuesday of Chick-fil-A employees reading tweets from customers who were shocked and saddened by the loss of their original barbeque sauce.
