North Texas man kicked out of Six Flags for looking like Santa

ARLINGTON, Texas (NBC News) – A north Texas man claims he was kicked out of Six Flags for looking like Santa Claus. Six Flags claims he was in costume, interacting with small children and handing out candy.

Jerry Henderson of Burleson has been a season pass holder for the past four years and says it’s never been a problem before.

For nearly two decades, Jerry has looked like Santa year round.

This past Saturday, Jerry and his family were celebrating his grand daughter’s birthday.

He says other families approached him an took pictures. He even handed out candy canes.

And that’s when a team of security guards came by.

“Next thing I know, I got five security guards there and one of them is sitting there telling me that I have to leave and I asked him why, and he said I look too much like Santa Claus,” Henderson said.

An emailed statement from Six Flags read in part: “We cannot knowingly allow individuals who are not approved by the park to interact with small children in this capacity.”

“He said if you want, you can get your hand stamped, go home, shave your beard off, come back, you’re more than welcome to come back in the park,” Henderson said.

Jerry says all he wants is an apology and partial refund of his season pass.
