Nine-year anniversary for missing Austin woman

AUSTIN (KXAN) — It’s almost exactly nine years now since a teenage girl vanished in North Austin, and the search continues.

Roxanne Paltauf, 18, was last seen with her boyfriend on July 7, 2006. They were at the Budget Inn on Rundberg Lane just west of Interstate 35. Roxanne left the room and hasn’t been seen since.

Sunday, Roxanne’s family gathered in that spot to hand out flyers and bumper stickers.

“I feel her around me all the time. She gives me little signals that she’s around, you know, little things only I would notice; nobody else would,” said Elizabeth Harris, Roxanne’s mother.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
