Wind tosses inflatable bounce house injuring 5 students

National News

(KXAN) — Five students are hurt Friday morning after an inflatable bounce house was tossed by a large gust of wind.

Witnesses say the inflatable was lifted at least 20-feet off the ground and thrown about 240-feet. It happened at an event at a high school in Washington state.

“I jumped over and I pulled the string. And I untied her from — she was stuck to something, it was bending her leg back. I took her off and she got free. She’s okay now,”  said Christopher Molina who ran in to help another classmate who was tangled in the inflatable.

It’s unclear how the inflatable was secured to the ground.
