NEW YORK CITY (KXAN) — After tearing through the Carolinas, now post-tropical cyclone Florence headed toward New York, bringing rain and minor flooding there.
The storm dumped heavy rain on New York City Tuesday, pouring water into the subway system and leaving some to wade through in ankle-deep water. It disrupted some trains as well.
One passenger captured video of a subway rat clinging to a pillar. The video of “flood rat” went viral, joining the ranks of “pizza rat,” which was a video that captured a critter carrying a full slice of a New York pie.
Officials say Florence is expected to blow through and skies will clear by the Wednesday commute.
