HOUSTON (KXAN) — Taking a vacation into space could soon be a lot closer than you think as NASA announced plans this week about the first commercial moon landing.

The agency announced three commercial moon landing services that they selected for the Artemis program.

Each lander will carry NASA supplies up to the moon that astronauts will use to conduct investigations.

NASA says this will help pave the way to get astronauts on the moon by 2024.

The companies will begin launching payloads to the moon by next year.
