Longest flu season in a decade ending soon

AUSTIN (KXAN) — The 2018-2019 flu season was the longest in a decade and it appears to finally be ending.

The CDC reports 21 weeks of elevated flu activity nationwide and thankfully, that started to decline this past week.

Texas Health and Human Services counted February as the worst month for the lone star state. It was reported that at one point, more than a third of tests came back positive for flu.
