Kidnapped North Carolina infant has been recovered

National News

NORTH CAROLINA (NBC) — A seven-week-old baby reportedly kidnapped from a park in the North Carolina mountains has been found safe.

A woman called police Thursday afternoon to say her baby was taken by two people wearing ski masks.

An Amber Alert was issued and police put out a description of the car and the suspects: allegedly a man and a woman.

The car was located but the suspects were not.

A few hours later, police reported finding the baby but didn’t say who she was with.

Police are continuing to investigate.
